Sjoerd Vroonland (Amsterdam) and Chris McGuigan (Rotterdam) combine strengths to create completely new and immersive interiors.
For more than 3 years studios ‘Vroonland’ and ‘McGuigan’ have worked alongside one another creating beautiful and innovative furniture designs by exploring production and challenging the makers of today.
We are now finally proud to announce a more substantial collaboration between both studios who aim to bridge the gap between storytelling and the interiors of private and commercial environments (stores, cafes, bars and restaurants)
Our specialty lies in creating a dialog between legacy craft, high-tech innovation and modern day living done in a personalised and craft-lead visual language.
In our projects we work on two fronts: sincere construction and sensorial interactions with objects. We explore geometries to show how a space can be experienced, engaging all the senses through applying generous amounts of love and attention to the fine details in shapes we create and the materials we use to create a totally immersive interior.
